We are devoted to bringing people and animals together, brightening the lives of the lonely, easing the pain of the sick and enriching the world of at-risk children.

PAL was founded by Washington, DC-area veterinarian Dr. Earl Strimple, who is now regonized worldwide as an expert on the human-animal bond. PAL is a non-profit , tax-exempt 501 (c)3 organization and as such, relies on highly dedicated and caring pet-therapy teams now some 300 strong. Every volunteer, whether adult or child, has been trained and certified alng with their animal by PAL professionals. In addition to our pet-therapy services, PAL takes great pride in its after-school club and summer camo for at-risk youth, as well as the PAL Pet Loss Hotline.
