Virginia Dog Parks

ArlingtonDogs - 500+ member all-volunteer organization that advocates on behalf of responsible dog guardianship. By working to establish and maintain off-leash dog exercise areas where dogs can exercise and their human companions can congregate and share information about training, vaccination, spaying/neutering, and proper waste disposal. Website includes information about dog parks in the area including: County Recognized DEAs: Benjamin Banneker Park, Fort Barnard, Glencarlyn Park, Madison Community Center, Shirlington Park, Towers Park, Utah Park; and Unofficial DEAs: Barcroft Park and Clarendon Park.

Bannecker Dogs - Sponsor of the Benjamin Banneker Dog Exercise Area in the 1600 block, North Sycamore Street (near the East Falls Church metro) in Arlington, Virginia.

Centreville Dogs - A group of Centreville area residents and businesses that support the development of an off leash dog area (or dog park) in western Fairfax County. We are currently working with the Fairfax County Park Authority to select an appropriate site. CentrevilleDogs is responsible for funding the facility, keeping the dog park clean, enforcing rules, and acting as a liaison between the community and the Park Authority.

City of Alexandria Dog Parks - The city's website provide an extensive list of fenced dog parks (Simpson Stadium Park, Duke Street, Montgomery Park and Ben Brenman Park), unfenced sites/dog exercise areas (13 total), and dog park/exercise area rules.

The Del Ray Dog Owners Group (DDOG) - Sponsor of Simpson Park at Simpson Stadium, Monroe Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. The Del Ray Dog Owners Group was founded in 1997 by Sandy Modell, and the small but dedicated group worked closely with the City of Alexandria to create Alexandria's and Northern Virginia's first fenced dog park at Simpson Park. Website includes listings for other parks and a nice locator map of Alexandria parks.

DouglasDogs - Sponsor for the Arlington County Virginia Dept. of Parks and Recreation Ft. Barnard Canine Community Area (CCA) Dog Park.

Duke Street Dogs - Sponsor of the Duke Street Dog Park beside the new Charles E Beatley Jr. Central Library (5005 Duke Street) in Alexandria, Virginia.

Fairfax County Off-Leash Dog Areas - Website includes information about 5 areas in Fairfax County (Baron Cameron, Blake Lane, Chandon, Mason District, South Run).

Herndon Dogs - Sponsor of the Chandon Park Dog Park at the south end of Palmer Drive in Herndon, Virginia.

Lorton Dogs - Sponsor of the South Run Dog Park, an "off-leash" park in Springfield, Virginia near Lee Chapel Road and Fairfax County Parkway. Lorton Dogs, Inc., is a small group of loving dog owners who work with the Fairfax County Park Authority to assure that a safe and clean park is available. The park is located at South Run District Park in Springfield, VA. Lorton Dogs promotes responsible dog ownership in the community.

Madison Dogs - Sponsor of the Ethan Allen Dog Park at 3829 North Stafford Street. Arlington, Virginia. Area is completely fenced in.

Mason District Dog Opportunity Group (Mason District D.O.G.) - Sponsor of Mason District Park in Annandale, Virginia off Columbia Pike.

Mount Vernon Area DOG

Oakton Dogs - Sponsor of Blake Lane Park, at the intersection of Blake Lane and Bushman Drive in Oakton, Virginia.

Reston Dogs - Sponsor of the Baron Cameron Dog Park, on Wiehle Avenue at Baron Cameron Drive in Reston, Virginia. RestonDogs, Inc. supports off leash dog parks in the Reston, Virginia area, promotes responsible dog ownership, and provides social activities for dog owners. We invite you to join our group to enjoy many benefits and exciting activities. We are the oldest dog park advocacy group in Fairfax County.

Shirlington Dogs - This is a group for dogowners in the Shirlington area to discuss doggie news, activities, upcoming events and any concerns about the Shirlington DEA.

Responsible Dog Ownership Group (RDOG) of Loudoun - One of RDOG's goals is to establish a nearby facility to allow dogs and their owners to interact without the constraints of being on a leash. This off-leash area, sometimes known as a "dog park", will promote many of the points of responsible dog ownership cited below and will serve as a community amenitiy encouraging socialization of dogs and owners alike.

Vienna Dogs - Sponsor of the Vienna Dog Park on Courthouse Road off of Nutley or 123 in Vienna, Virginia next to Nottoway Park. The Association is an all-volunteer association, supported by over 120 members who bring their dogs to the Vienna Dog Park.
