of responsible dog guardianship. By working to establish and maintain
off-leash dog exercise areas where dogs can exercise and their human
companions can congregate and share information about training,
vaccination, spaying/neutering, and proper waste disposal. Website

Centreville
Dogs - A group of Centreville area residents and businesses
that support the development of an off leash dog area (or dog park)
in western Fairfax County. We are currently working with the Fairfax
County Park Authority to select an appropriate site. CentrevilleDogs
is responsible for funding the facility, keeping the dog park clean,
enforcing rules, and acting as a liaison between the community and
the Park Authority.

The Del Ray Dog Owners Group was founded in 1997 by Sandy Modell,
and the small but dedicated group worked closely with the City of
Alexandria to create Alexandria's and Northern Virginia's first

Dogs - This is a group for dogowners in the Shirlington
area to discuss doggie news, activities, upcoming events and any
concerns about the Shirlington DEA.
Responsible
Dog Ownership Group (RDOG) of Loudoun - One of RDOG's
goals is to establish a nearby facility to allow dogs and their
owners to interact without the constraints of being on a leash.
This off-leash area, sometimes known as a "dog park",
will promote many of the points of responsible dog ownership cited
below and will serve as a community amenitiy encouraging socialization
of dogs and owners alike.
