Friendship Hospital was established in 1936 to provide quality, lifelong health care for dogs and cats in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Over the years, Friendship has developed into the largest animal health care facility in Washington D.C., providing health care services to over 50,000 dogs and cats each year.
We provide compassionate, individualized health care for each patient 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We pride ourselves on our patient care and client communication. Our team is distinguished not only by their skills in providing outstanding animal health care, but also by their compassion and empathy for their patients and pet owners.

Directions:
Driving Directions From Gaithersburg, Rockville, etc.: - Take I270 S to the Beltway/I495, following signs for northern Virginia. - Once on the Beltway, take the second exit, exit 39, for River Road, heading into the District. - Follow River Road south for approximately 5 miles. At Chesapeake Street, make a left. - At the second stop sign, make a right onto Wisconsin Avenue, heading south. - Make a right at the first light/intersection onto Brandywine Street. - We are immediately on the right at 4105 Brandywine, the gray slate building with silver trim, set slightly back from the road.
From Baltimore, Laurel, etc.: - Take I 95 S to the Beltway/I495, following signs for Silver Spring. - Once on the Beltway, take the Wisconsin Avenue South/Route 355 exit. Make a right and follow the signs for southbound traffic. - Follow Wisconsin Avenue south for approximately 4.5 miles. At Brandywine Street, make a right. - We are immediately on the right at 4105 Brandywine, the gray slate building with silver trim, set slightly back from the road.
From Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, etc.: - From I66 or Route 50, take Route 29 across the Key Bridge into the District. - Promptly at the end of the bridge, make a left onto M Street. M Street will turn into Foxhall Road. - Follow Foxhall Road approximately 2 miles, until it deadends into Nebraska Avenue. - Make a right onto Nebraska Avenue and follow it approximately 1 mile to Wisconsin Avenue, at the light/2nd semi-circle. - Make a left onto Wisconsin Avenue. - Take Wisconsin Avenue north, for less than ¼ mile. One block past the Tenleytown/AU Metro station and the Best Buy (on your left), make a left onto Brandywine Street. There is a left turn light and a left turn lane at this intersection. - We are immediately on the right at 4105 Brandywine, the gray slate building with silver trim, set slightly back from the road.
PARKING Free parking is available under the building. Go past Friendship, make a right into the narrow alley immediately past the building, and then make a right into our garage. Metered on-street parking is usually available as well.
Landmarks: Enter the alley on the west side of hospital to access free parking.
