New Radio Talk Show about Pets

WCBM Radio 680 AM in Baltimore announces the addition of a new talk show to their weekend line-up.   It’s called Pet-Pourri/Talk and can be heard Saturdays from 4 to 5 pm.  It will be all about pet care and local pet events.  There will be guests and the opportunity for listeners to call in with questions or comments.   The host is Don Peacock, long time dog breeder and announcer of the dog breed competition at the Baltimore County Kennel Club Show.  Don is also a member of the Maryland Westie Club and Baltimore County Kennel Club.

February 24, 2014-Baltimore, MD — Six to eight million homeless cats, and dogs enter animal shelters every year. About half of these animals are adopted, but tragically, 2.7 million adoptable pets are put down. The majority of animals euthanized are healthy, sweet pets who would have made great companions. It doesn’t have to be this way. By simply spaying and neutering our pets this tragic situation can be remedied.

Sure, the people in your office have probably never heard of Julie Goodnight, Nick Karazissis, Colleen Kelly or Jimmy Wofford, but the words “shopping” and “entertainment” transcend horse world. “Free stuff” and “food” could also raise some interest! Though it’s truly an event anyone would enjoy, for our people, Expo is so, so much more. Where else can you walk into a place called the “Cow Palace” and find so much horse stuff, learn so much about horses and see so much family friendly horse related entertainment?
